DC Power Plant Apprentice Installers
Extreme Engineering, Inc is seeking both DC Power Plant Lead Technicians and DC Power Plant Apprentice Installers for a long-term multi-year project installing DC Power plants at locations in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, West Virginia, and Western Pennsylvania.
Experience is required for Lead positions and helpful for Apprentice positions. College Degrees are not required. Candidates should be willing to travel 3-4 days per week.
Extreme Engineering, Inc Summary:
Extreme Engineering, Inc supports cellular networks. We design and install Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enhance cellular coverage in-buildings. DAS projects range from small offices and warehouses to Office Campuses, Stadiums, and Speedways. We install equipment in cell tower shelters including DC Power Plants; Battery Strings; Network Electronics, Routers, Servers, and Switches; Access Controls; BBUs, CDUs, VCUs; Fiber Optic Cables; AC Units; GPS Antennas; and other equipment. We do NOT climb towers.

Job Summary:
The DC Power Technician is a technician role that provides DC Power and infrastructure services across multiple platforms. Technical responsibilities include working with a team to install various configurations of DC power including installation, maintenance of primary and secondary DC power systems. Travel is required. Travel expenses are paid. Overtime is often available.
We are seeking lead technicians who can install DC power Plants in Cell-site shelters during the maintenance window (11pm to 6am). Previous experience is necessary.

Must have valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and complete a background check.
Competencies/Skills:
• Complete DC installation activities with team
• Complete infrastructure installation activities with team
• Review, update, augment, and provide job documentation
• Creating MOP’s and Close Out Documentation
• Installing Primary and Secondary Cable
• Chassis, Reference and Power Grounding
• Lacing primary and secondary cable
• Working as a team
• Fundamental knowledge of AC / DC Power
• Fundamental knowledge of DC Plants, BDFB, BDCCB, Rectifiers, Inverters
• Fundamental infrastructure knowledge and installation experience
•• Ability to perform Hot Cuts / Hot Slides
• Understanding of Blueprint/Schematic reading
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Rack and stack experience
Education and Experience:
• 1-5 years field technical DC plant experience
• 1-5 years working with documentation on technical jobs
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 70lbs
• Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
